Art historians have written that Claude Monet’s 1876 painting, La Japonaise, was his wry commentary on the Parisian fervor for Japanese culture. Intrigued by the painting and the conversations it elicited, Michael Lowe’s world premiere is a delightful and whimsical "night-at-the-museum" fantasy, where works of art spring to life.
THE LADY WITH THE LAMP
This stunning collaborative work by Sarah-Jane Measor and Michael Lowe was last season’s triumph. The ballet is a poignant tribute to the life and ground-breaking contributions of Florence Nightingale, a visionary who set the standard for modern medical care and revolutionized the nursing profession.
A dreamscape comprised of romantic neoclassical duets that illuminate the shades of love. Choreography by Michael Lowe.
